FAQs
WHO CAN APPLY?
Crusader Live is open to any current Seoul Foreign High School student - no prior experience is necessary! Team members learn through an "on-the-job training" experience designed to teach them real-world production skills and techniques while putting them immediately into practice for real events.
APPLICATION & INTERVIEW
The application for Crusader Live is available in the site menu. Following the submittal of the application, applicants will be contacted to schedule a brief interview with Mr. Black, SFS Theatre Manager. The purpose of the interview is to make sure that Crusader Live will be a good fit for you in the broader scope of your high school experience. We want it to be a meaningful experience and avoid burn-out!
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Applicants do not have to have had any previous experience in order to apply. You will learn from the SFS Theatre Staff and more experienced team members. The more you are involved, the faster (and more) you will learn. Team members with more experience are given more responsibility and priority when filling crews for large events. Opportunities to learn and work are abundant so inexperienced team members can become "experienced" very quickly.
TIME COMMITMENT
Students commit to Crusader Live seasonally following the high school activities schedule. All meetings take place after school, so students are still able to fully participate in clubs that meet during the school day. The seasonal commitment windows this year will be:
Season 1: August 19 - November 1
Season 2: November 11 - January 27
Season 3: February 3 - April 17
Season 4: April 21 - June 12
*Students who apply for Production Staff roles commit to a full production rehearsal schedule.
**Students who apply for Production Run Crew roles commit to 2 shifts per week and then the full production rehearsal schedule for the last four (4) weeks leading up to the performance.
***Students who apply for Event Crew commit to 2 shifts per week and assigned events.
